A pair of players with tie to the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) in Joel Ngandu and Brock Souch have signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements.

Ngandu joined OHA Edmonton for the 2023/24 CSSHL U15 season. In 28 games the Edmonton, AB forward posted a team high 26 assists and 41 points while being named a U15 Prairie Division Second Team All-Star.

This past U15 Prep season Ngandu played for the NAX U15 Prep team, tallying 46 points in 35 games. Ngandu has signed with the Kelowna Rockets after they selected him in the second round, 34th overall at the 2025 WHL Draft.

Souch joined NAX for the 2020/21 U15 Prep season before finishing sixth in league scoring during the 2021/22 U16 Prep season. The Edmonton, AB forward added nine points in five playoff games as NAX captured the 2022 CSSHL U15 Prep Western Championship.

Selected by the Regina Pats at the 2021 WHL Draft, Souch would play two seasons in the AJHL and has signed with the Prince George Cougars.
