48 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) alumni competed at the Centennial Cup in Calgary, AB.

12 of those 48 CSSHL alumni would help the Calgary Canucks be crowned Centennial Cup Champions as they defeated the Melfort Mustangs and their 7 CSSHL alumni 7-2 in the finals.

The Centennial Cup see’s the nine Canadian Junior A Champions and one host team compete for a Canadian National Championship. The 10 teams are split into two pools of five:

    • Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL)
    • Kam River Fighting Walleye (SIJHL)
    • Northern Manitoba Blizzard (MJHL)
    • Grande Prairie Storm (AJHL)

    • Calgary Canucks (HOST)
    • Edmundston Blizzard (MHL)
    • Braves de Valleyfield (LHJQ)
    • Melfort Mustangs (SJHL)

The 48 CSSHL alumni represented 9 of the 10 teams competing in this years National Junior A Championship. The hosts and back-to-back AJHL Champion Canucks led the way with 12 CSSHL alumni. The Grande Prairie Storm, who lost in the AJHL Final to the Canucks, sit second with nine CSSHL alumni.

Former Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) student-athlete Aiden Fink has committed to Penn State University for the 2023/24 season.

The Calgary, AB forward joined NAX for the 2019/20 U16 Prep season finishing third in team scoring with 44 points in 27 games. The following season he would record three points in three U18 Prep games with NAX.

In 2021/22 Fink would join the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s (AJHL) Brooks Bandits where he would record 53 points in 60 games. He would add 10 more points in 13 playoff games as Brooks were named AJHL Champions. Brooks would go on to capture a Centennial Cup, as the best Junior A team in the nation.

This season was a breakout year for Fink as he recorded an AJHL best 97 points in 54 games while capturing individual awards such as AJHL Player of the Month twice, AJHL (South) All-Star Team, AJHL Top Forward, the Ernie Love Trophy (AJHL Most Points) and AJHL MVP. Brooks would again with the AJHL Championship and Centennial Cup. With 13 points in 7 games Fink was awarded the Centennial Cup MVP, Top Forward and Top Scorer awards.

During the 2022/23 season Fink represented Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge, leading all skaters with 12 points in 6 games and earning All-Star Team honours.

Fink is currently ranked 63rd among North American skaters heading into the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

Located at University Park, PA, Penn State University is an NCAA Division I program playing in the Big Ten Conference.
