Rafael Cloutier and Lynden Larsen have signed in the QMJHL, while Jackson Kostiuk and Ethan Merner have signed in the WHL.

Cloutier joined Bourget College ahead of the 2021/22 East U17 season. In 33 games the Pointe-Fortune, QC forward had 9 goals and 8 assists. The following East U18 season he would record 5 goals and 8 assists in 14 games with Bourget. The Clarkson University commit has signed with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, having recorded two points in three games so far this season.

A forward from Verdun, QC, Larsen has spent the 2024/25 CSSHL East U17 season with Selwyn House School recording a team best 11 assists and 16 points in 5 games. Larsen, who was selected in the fourth round, 63rd overall at the 2024 QMJHL Draft, has played six games with Acadie-Bathurst Titan, tallying two assists.

Selected in the 10th round, 216th overall by the Saskatoon Blades at the 2021 WHL Draft, Kostiuk has signed with the Prince Albert Raiders, recording one assist in two games. The East St. Paul. MB forward played three seasons in the CSSHL with RHA Winnipeg at the U15 Prep and U18 Prep levels. In 71 career CSSHL games he recorded 89 points, including 47 during the 2022/23 U18 Prep season. Kostiuk has spent the last two seasons in the MJHL with the Steinbach Pistons, tallying 34 points in 29 games this season before joining the Raiders.

Merner joined Okanagan Hockey Academy for the 2019/20 U15 Prep season, producing 12 points in 30 games. The Kelowna, BC forward would have three points in two U15 Prep games with Yale Hockey Academy the following season before recording 44 points in 32 U17 Prep games in 2021/22, leading to the Calgary Hitmen selecting him in the fourth round, 80th overall at the 2021 WHL Draft. Committed to NCAA program Merrimack College, Merner has signed with the Hitmen.

Arsenault was selected by Acadie-Bathurst in the first round, 18th overall at the 2024 QMJHL Draft. The Cornwall, PEI forward played the 2022/23 Eastern U17 season with the Mount U16 team. In 14 games he tallied 3 goals and 11 assists.

The nine student-athletes selected is second most in CSSHL history, behind the 2021 season when 17 heard their names called. 51 current or former CSSHL student-athletes have now been selected at the QMJHL Draft since 2018.

Former Mount Academy forward Liam Arsenault became the first forward and third student-athlete in CSSHL history to be selected in the first round, joining Evan Nause (5th overall 2020) and Oscar Plandowski (19th, 2019).

Mount Academy (3), Bishop’s College School (2), CIH Academy (2), Champions Hockey Academy (1) and Notre Dame (1) all had a student-athlete selected this year.

Notre Dame U16 Prep forward Alec Nasreddine was selected in the fourth round, 67th overall by the Halifax Mooseheads. The Mountside, NJ product finished third in team scoring this season with 28 points in 31 games.聽

A defenseman from Chelsea, QC, Quinlan Parry was selected in the 10th round, 172nd overall by the Chicoutimi Sagueneens. In 11 Eastern U17 division games with Ontario Hockey Academy Parry had 2 goals and 1 assist.聽

Noah Cziment spent the 2022/23 Eastern U17 season with the Mount Academy U16 team. In eight games he tallied four goals and four assists. His point-per-game pace led all skaters on his team. Acadie-Bathurst Titan selected the forward in the 10th round, 176th overall.

Acadie-Bathurst selected another Mount Academy student-athlete in the 13th round, 221st overall when they drafted Ethan Anderson. The Stratford, PEI defender recorded two points in nine Eastern U17 games with the Mount Academy U17 team.
